City break in Salzburg

Salzburg’s winter magic
Winter brings a special atmosphere to Salzburg. In the run-up to Christmas, the Christkindlmarkt on Domplatz and Residenzplatz fills the old town with festive spirit. Music is never far away either, from Advent singing and New Year concerts to Mozart Week, while the museums host a range of exhibitions. Salzburg has plenty to offer throughout the winter months.

A UNESCO World Heritage city, Salzburg is also a place to slow down. Its coffee houses invite you to linger, while walks over the city’s hills are a rewarding way to get to know Salzburg. This is where one of the city’s defining features becomes especially clear: nature and culture are always close together.
