As the train travels through lush, green landscapes, immerse yourself in the wilds of Malaysia. Travel through jungle, rubber and palm plantations and enjoy the view while your steward serves afternoon tea in your cabin. Day 2: Taman Negara
Enjoy your breakfast while taking in the spectacular scenery of the “Jungle Railway” as the train travels through some of Malaysia’s wildest regions. After lunch on board, you arrive at Merapoh station and set off for an exceptional immersion in Taman Negara National Park, one of the world’s oldest tropical rainforests, dating back 130 million years. Once there, take part in one of the excursions on offer: venture into the jungle to learn about the habitat of the Malayan tiger and meet the people dedicated to its protection; join a photographer and naturalist for an immersive outing, discovering the forest’s fascinating details to the calls of gibbons; explore the region’s impressive caves by e‑bike; or enjoy a rejuvenating wellness experience featuring sunrise yoga, forest bathing and sound meditation. Return to the train for lunch, then relax during a leisurely afternoon on board before dinner.

Day 3: Penang
After breakfast on board, you disembark and cross over to Penang Island. Here, you can choose from a range of excursions designed to showcase Malaysia’s rich cultural blend: a discovery of George Town’s Old Quarter from the back of a Vespa with a guide, including visits to local artists; a culinary exploration of Peranakan cuisine with stops at spice and speciality shops followed by a cooking class; or an independent tour of the city in a trishaw with driver and map, perfect for wandering through charming streets, boutiques and cultural sites. You then return to the train in Butterworth for lunch and a relaxing afternoon on board — an ideal moment to visit the Dior Spa. Later, you may continue unwinding on the train or take a stroll through the city of Ipoh, a former tin‑mining capital where colonial heritage meets contemporary street art. In the evening, enjoy a convivial final night on board, complete with refined cuisine and delightful entertainment.
