The GoldenPass Express is a panoramic train on the GoldenPass Line offering a direct connection between Interlaken and Montreux. Thanks to its large windows, it offers sweeping views of the Bernese Oberland and the Simmental valley during the journey, and later of the countryside around Lake Geneva. The journey involves no changes and focuses on the scenic experience along the route.

The best side to sit on the GoldenPass Express depends on the direction of travel. When travelling from Interlaken to Montreux, the best seats on the GoldenPass Express are on the right-hand side, as this offers unobstructed views of lakes, valleys and, later on, Lake Geneva along several sections of the route. In the opposite direction, from Montreux to Interlaken, the left-hand side offers these views. As the landscape along the route changes regularly, there is no single side that is consistently better for the entire journey.

The GoldenPass Line connects Lucerne and Montreux and covers a total distance of around 189 kilometres, depending on the route chosen. The journey time for the entire route is usually around five to six and a half hours, depending on the connection, changes and the type of train used.
